With your family & friends or on your own, the best way to discover the Southern Alentejo is on your bike. Crossing plains and mountains, along dirt tracks, there is a network of routes that allow you to enjoy the breathtaking Alentejo landscape.

There are different Cycling Centres, each of them offering different routes, that vary in difficulty level and length.

You can rent your bike in many of our members in te regions. In Mértola, check out Monte da Eirinha, a certified bike-hotel, and Ecoland, an accommodation that also rents electric bikes for self-guided tours. In Castro Verde, look for 4Bs- Bed&Breakfast Birds&Bicycles, which, in addition to renting rooms, is a proud member of the Warmshowers network.

If you’re looking for longer adventures, try one of our circular routes, on the road or gravel, that cross the municipalities of Aljustrel, Ourique, Castro Verde, Almodôvar and Mértola. An excellent opportunity to discover the Wildscapes – the wildest landscapes in the south!
