Vale Gonçalinho - Enviromental Education Centre - CEAVG - is about 7 km away from Castro Verde, in the Vale Gonçalinho estate, belonging to the Liga para a Proteção da Natureza (LPN), a portuguese NGO. The Centre has an auditorium, two work rooms occupied by staff, a library and a room for environmental education activities, two bedrooms and a dormitory and a kitchen. From there it is possible to follow walking paths into the steppe fields.
